Axis
Axis
Axis Description
You must add data items to an axis. The user can add up to six axis's to a single line chart. The axis can contain any number of data columns. To add an axis click on the Add Chart Axis toolbar,
, or right-click on the chart node in the hierarchy tree to select the Add Chart Axis item in the pop-up menu.
Axis Properties
AutoScale
This property is used in conjunction with Min and Max. This property allows manual control of the range of the graphs y axis scale.
Default value:
None
None
Automatic Scale Control
Min
Manual Minimum Scale Control
Max
Manual Maximum Scale Control
MinMax
Both Minimum and Maximum Scale Control
Axis Color
This sets the color of this axis.
Default value:
Black
Acceptable range:
Any Color
Axis Scale
This shows the current axis scale being used. If it is -3 then units are in milli, -9 is nano, etc. You can sometimes set this but I have found it is somewhat fickle as to when it allows you to make changes.
Max Value
This property is used in conjunction with AutoScale. If AutoScale is equal to Max or MinMax, then the value defined by here will be the maximum extent for this y axis.
Default value:
0
Acceptable range:
Any number
Min Value
This property is used in conjunction with AutoScale. If AutoScale is equal to Min or MinMax, then the value defined by here will be the minimum extent for this y axis.
Default value:
0
Acceptable range:
Any number
Name
This is the text name for this axis. This is the name that is shown on the side of the axis in the chart.
Default value:
Axis_?
Acceptable range:
Any String
