Torus

Figure 1. Torus

A torus is a shape like a doughnut. It is specified with an inner and outer radius that determines the size of the doughnut tube, and the size of the hole in the middle.

TorusProperties

These properties are specific to ellipsoid only.

Inner Radius
The radius of the hole in the middle of the torus.
Default value:  10 mm
Acceptable range:  any number greater than zero and less than the outer radius.

Outer Radius
The radius of the outer section of the torus.
Default value:  20
Acceptable range:  any number greater than zero and the inner radius.

Rings
The number of rings to use to draw the torus.
Default value:  20
Acceptable range:  any number greater than 9

Sides
The number of sides to use when drawing the torus.
Default value:  20
Acceptable range:  any number greater than 9
